Cuenca is a beautiful city located in the heart of the Andean region in Ecuador. The Spanish colonial city is on UNESCO´s World Heritage List and boasts an historical centre that is home to cobblestoned streets, colonial-style buildings, beautiful plazas and domed churches. The third-largest city in Ecuador, Cuenca offers its visitors a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, museums, and galleries. It also has a number of language schools for learning Spanish, French and Quichua.
